Morning: 7:45 ~ 8:15: Get picked up from your hotel in the center of Ho Chi Minh. 8:30 ~ 10h00: Depart to Cu Chi Tunnels, just 60 kilometers outside the city. Soak up the rural rice paddy scenery and sights of ducks and water buffalos swimming in the rivers along the side of the road. (take 1,5 hour). 10:00 ~ 11:00: · Enjoy both countryside with big farming and jungle sightseeing. · Watch a short documentary film about Cu Chi during the war (in many foreign languages options) · Discover the cover of secret refuge and an incredible network of Cu Chi tunnels. · Crawl through the narrow tunnels which are totally made by hand. · Gain more knowledge about history, weapons and damaged self-construct traps, etc. · Try to shoot with AK47 or M16 riffles in a well supervised area (*optional with surcharge). · Taste the main dish which locals ate during the war time: Boiled tapioca with hot pandan tea. 11:30 ~ 13:00: Heading to the Mekong Delta. Pass by green rice fields before arriving at the beautiful rural My Tho. (take around 2-hour) 13:00 ~ 13:30: Enjoy a lunch in the local restaurant with delicious meal. 14:00 ~ 14:30: We will reach the port to take a leisurely cruise on the Tien River to see 4 islets which are represented as four mythical animals in Southeast Asia: Dragon, Kirin, Tortoise, and Phoenix for our main activities: · Walk through orchard gardens then taste some fresh seasonal tropical fruits, and enjoy the art of “Don ca tai tu” Southern folk music which is an indispensible spiritual cultural activity in locals’ life. · Hop on a horse wagon and relax on the hand – rowing sapan to recall local people life in the 19th century, and take a short walk through a quite village to feel the countryside atmosphere. Explore villages, canals, and rivers by motorboat and rowboat. 16:-00 ~ 17:00: Travel back to Saigon. Arrive approximately at around 18:30 ~ 19:00. End tours. See you again.
